Lady ADEMOLA was the first known black African woman to graduate from Oxford University. She was knighted by the Queen of England in 1956 and became the first president of the National Council for Women’s Societies. A prolific letter writer and an excellent public speaker, she was honoured by the Association of Nigerian Authors.
